A Kitchen and 5 Bathrooms

AFTER of the Master Bathroom

This homeowner just purchased their home. It checked off all their boxes. A great location, the perfect layout, and plenty of space. There was just one problem. It had previously been renovated and the tile job was subpar and not their style. They needed a fix!

Upon moving in, this homeowner was ready to update all 5 bathrooms and their large kitchen. We helped the homeowner pick out selections and ordered the tile, countertops, and fixtures for the bathrooms and kitchen to help the job run quickly and efficiently. Materials arrived on-site and we were ready to get to work. We started with masking off, adding zippers, and protecting the walkways and areas of the home that were not getting renovated.

The homeowner wanted to brighten things up and add a lightened feel. To achieve this, they chose two gorgeous large format marble look porcelain tiles. In the master and half bath, Maximo Rialto Grand Polished Porcelain Tile was used on the floors and shower walls. For the other bathrooms, San Giorgio Brindisi Bianco II Matte Porcelain Tile was used for the floors and shower surrounds.

To save some money the homeowners kept the existing cabinets and added new hardware in the guest and half baths. For the master bathroom, we painted the cabinets black to bring out the dark accents in the tile and added new hardware. The homeowners went with the Delta HydroRain H2OKinetic in Champagne Bronze in the shower to help highlight some of the gold tones in the Maximo Rialto Grand tile. They carried the champagne bronze tone through the renovation in the sink faucets, cabinet hardware and mirrors.

In the master and half bathroom, the homeowner chose Rock Ridge Black Natural Slate Tile for the backsplash and deco in the shower niches to again help pull out the darker tones in the floor and shower wall tile. In the other guest bathrooms, Casa Antica Ocean Honed Marble Tile was installed to add a little variety and character to the marble-style floors.

In the master shower, the homeowner went with a smaller tile in a herringbone pattern. The shower floor of the master is where you can see a difference in the quality of tile installation from before and after. In smaller tiles and patterns, mistakes are very noticeable and draw the eye directly to them. Below you can see the before and after of the shower floor.

Moving on to the kitchen, the homeowner wanted to update it to match the bright and airy style they brought into the bathrooms and correct tile mistakes in the backsplash. To do this, we updated the backsplash, countertops, sink, hardware, and faucet. The countertop is 3cm Quartz-Calacatta Sponda. For the backsplash, the homeowner chose Canvas Meringue II Polished Ceramic Tile.

We installed the Blanco Diamond Silgranit 50/50 Double Bowl Sink, and for the faucet, Delta Trask Touch2O in Champagne Bronze. To add some light we installed 3 beautiful Addington Park 4-Light Antique Brass Glass Globe Pendant lights over the large island.
